Chef's apprentice

Practice makes perfect. You just need to start somewhere – usually with yourself. With small steps that lead to great adventures and make a change in us, our world and the world. With the launch of “Start Something Priceless”, Mastercard inspired an amateur cook Jan Macarol to start a chef apprenticeship with one of the most renowned Slovenian chefs Uroš Štefelin, owner of restaurant Vila Podvin. Seven challenges sharpened his skills and knowledge, and ultimately allowed the apprentice to enter chef’s kitchen and prepare a gourmet dinner for lucky prize-winners in his final professional test.
